COCOYO Crystal Silica Gel Cat Litter 4 x 4.3 lb

Overview

COCOYO's crystal cat litter is a silica gel formula sold as a 17.2 lb value pack split into four 4.3 lb bags. It's unscented and comes as loose granules rather than clumping clay.

Silica gel litters work differently from clumping clay, the granules absorb urine and trap odor rather than forming solid clumps for scooping. That typically means fewer full litter box changes, though it also means the litter isn't flushable or compostable the way some clay or plant-based options are. Splitting the total 17.2 lbs into four smaller bags makes storage and pouring easier than one large bag.

• 17.2 lb total, four 4.3 lb bags
• Silica gel crystal litter
• Unscented granule form
• Absorption-based, not clumping

Who it's for

Suits households wanting a low-dust, unscented silica litter with fewer full changes and who are comfortable with solid waste disposal rather than flushing. Less suited to anyone specifically wanting a scented or clumping clay litter.

Pros and cons

Performance notes

The porous silica gel granules absorb liquid waste and lock in odor through absorption rather than clumping, the main mechanical difference from clay litter. Because it isn't scooped into clumps, maintenance usually means removing solid waste and stirring the granules, with a fuller litter change needed less often than with clumping litter.
