Overview
The Superday portable washer is an 18 pound twin tub machine, an 11.6 pound wash side and a 6.4 pound spin side, aimed at apartments, dorms, RVs and other spaces without a hookup for a full-size machine.
Superday's listing describes a water inlet system containing silver flakes that release silver ions during operation, a detail from the manufacturer rather than independent testing. Each tub runs on its own timer, with wash options for gentle, normal or drain and a spin timer that runs up to five minutes.
- 18lb total capacity (11.6lb wash + 6.4lb spin)
- Independent wash and spin timers
- Silver-ion water inlet per manufacturer
- Compact twin tub design
Who it's for
Works for anyone doing light to medium laundry loads in a small space, since the twin tub layout lets you spin one load while washing the next. Not a replacement for a full-size machine on heavier loads or for anyone who needs completely dry clothes straight out of the spin cycle.
Pros and cons
- Twin tubs let you wash and spin together
- Compact enough for a shower stall or RV
- Clear cover lets you check the load
- Spin cycle leaves clothes damp, needs air-drying
- One unit developed a grinding noise quickly
- Cord and drain hose felt short to one buyer
Performance notes
Draining works best into a bucket so the water flows out slowly rather than all at once.
