Overview
The KastKing KRLCSTRL3-80RWR is a graphite-bodied reel with an 8.0:1 gear ratio and right-hand retrieve. The title calls it a spinning reel, but the spec sheet's technique field and special notes both flag it as a baitcasting reel.
Because two separate spec fields point to baitcasting while only the title says spinning, buyers should confirm the handle style directly before ordering. The fast 8.0:1 ratio is the standout number either way.
- 8.0:1 gear ratio
- Right-handed retrieve
- Graphite construction
- About 0.3 kg reel weight
Who it's for
Anglers who want a quick-retrieve baitcasting reel for reaction baits like spinnerbaits, chatterbaits and walking topwaters. Confirm handle style first if you specifically need an open-face spinning reel.
Pros and cons
- 8.0:1 ratio moves line fast for reaction baits
- Graphite build keeps weight near 0.3 kg
- Listing mixes spinning and baitcasting terms, so confirm handle style first
- No line capacity figures given
Performance notes
An 8.0:1 ratio pulls line quickly per handle turn, which suits covering water fast or taking up slack, trading off some cranking torque against slower ratios better matched to deep-diving crankbaits.
