Overview
A fixed-focus lens with a narrow field of view frames your face and hides most of the room behind you in this EMEET webcam. It plugs in by USB, corrects for low light, and a sliding cover blocks the lens when not in use.
A narrow view and a physical cover protect privacy at home, and setup is plug and play. The fixed focus and modest sensor need even lighting at a set distance to look their sharpest.
Who it's for
People taking calls from a home office or bedroom get a tight frame and a privacy slide. Content creators needing autofocus or higher resolution should step up.
Pros and cons
- Plug and play USB
- Physical privacy cover
- Narrow frame hides background
- Fixed focus only
- Needs good lighting
- No Windows Hello support
- Chrome OS not recommended
Performance notes
The fixed-focus lens is set for a seated distance, so faces closer or farther drift soft. Low-light correction raises exposure, but a well-lit room gives the cleanest image. The omnidirectional mic picks up voices from around the camera, which also means room noise.
