Overview
Not a full-size bed conversion crib, the DaVinci Birdie is a pine crib that becomes a toddler bed and then a daybed. Its mattress platform lowers through several positions as the baby learns to sit and stand.
Clean materials are its strength: sustainable pine, a non-toxic multi-step finish and third-party testing each year. The conversion stops at daybed, and the listing omits size, weight and mattress details.
Who it's for
Nurseries where air quality and finish safety come first suit this pine crib. Parents planning a crib that grows into a full bed should look for a different conversion range.
Pros and cons
- Sustainable pine construction
- Non-toxic multi-step finish
- Adjustable mattress height
- Annual third-party testing
- Toddler kit sold separately
- Dimensions not listed
- No full-size bed conversion
Performance notes
Safety through the stages depends on lowering the mattress as the baby grows, so the rail stays tall relative to the mattress once the child can stand. Durability comes from the pine frame and the finish process.
