Overview
A living room built around an LG OLED TV is where this LG soundbar system shines, adding wireless rear speakers, a wireless subwoofer and height channels for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. An up-firing center channel lifts dialogue clear of effects.
Wireless rears and room calibration bring a full surround setup without running cables across the room. The tightest integration, including wireless Atmos from the TV, needs a compatible LG set.
Who it's for
Movie fans with a recent LG TV will use the one-remote control and wireless Atmos link. Owners of other TV brands still get surround sound but not the LG-only extras.
Pros and cons
- Wireless rear speakers
- Up-firing center for clear dialogue
- Automatic room calibration
- Gaming passthrough with VRR and ALLM
- WOW features need select LG TVs
- Rears and sub still need power
- Wide bar for smaller TVs
- Weight listed is high
Performance notes
Dialogue clarity comes from the up-firing center channel, which separates voices from surrounding effects. Room calibration measures the space with the built-in microphone and tunes output to it. Height channels bounce sound off the ceiling, so ceiling height and material shape the effect.
