Overview
Lighting a grill, campfire or candle on a breezy day is easy with the Scripto Torch Flame MAX, which fires with a single button press. Vented, aerodynamic shaping protects the flame from wind, and a safety switch prevents accidental ignition.
Wind resistance and a one-press start suit outdoor cooks and campers who struggle with ordinary lighters. The listing does not say whether it can be refilled, and fuel claims range from hundreds to thousands of lights.
Who it's for
Backyard grillers, campers and anyone lighting outdoors on breezy days will find it dependable. People wanting a refillable, long term tool should check refill options first.
Pros and cons
- Strong wind resistance
- Large adjustable flame
- Hangs on a hook
- Refillability not stated
- Fuel life claims conflict
- Long body for pockets
Performance notes
Vents and shaping shield the flame from gusts, so it holds steady where a plain flame would blow out. The one-step igniter lights without repeated clicks, and the flame adjuster sets height for the job.
