Overview
Lighting jar candles, birthday cakes and grills without singed fingers is the job of these BIC wand lighters, which add a short neck to a pocket style body. The designs come from an assorted counterculture art series.
Fun artwork on a practical candle lighter makes this pack stand out. The wand adds only modest reach, so it suits candles and stoves more than deep fire pits.
Who it's for
Home candle use, birthday cakes and small grills suit these lighters. Deep fire pits and large grills need a longer utility lighter.
Pros and cons
- Moves fingers back from the flame
- Six lighters per pack
- Short wand for deep spots
- Designs vary by pack
- Theme may not suit every home
Performance notes
The wand sets the flame ahead of the fingers, which reaches into candle jars without tipping them. A child-resistant mechanism needs a deliberate press. Quality checks during manufacturing aim at consistent lighting.
