Overview
Zesty Paws Wild Alaskan Omega-3 Blend combines pollock and salmon oil in an 8.5oz liquid supplement for skin and coat support in both dogs and cats.
The active ingredient is listed as wild Alaskan salmon oil, an oil form supplement rather than a capsule or chew, dosed by pump or measure from the 8.5oz bottle. It ranks second in Amazon's dog fish oil supplements category and includes the seller's own satisfaction terms as a warranty description.
- Wild Alaskan pollock and salmon oil blend
- 8.5oz liquid bottle
- For skin and coat support
- Rated for cats and dogs
Who it's for
Useful for owners adding an omega-3 oil to a dog or cat's food for coat and skin support, especially pets with dry or flaky skin. Not a treatment for a diagnosed skin condition, which still needs veterinary attention.
Pros and cons
- Liquid oil form mixes directly into food
- Blend of pollock and salmon oil for omega-3 intake
- Labeled for both cats and dogs
- All breed size labeling
- Oil format can be messier to dose than a capsule or chew
- No weight based dosing chart in this listing
- 8.5oz bottle will run out faster with larger dogs
Performance notes
As an oil rather than a capsule, dosing depends on measuring out a portion into the pet's food at each feeding, and the blend of pollock and salmon oil is positioned for omega-3 intake tied to skin and coat condition. The listing does not include a specific dosing chart by weight.
