Overview
A topwater lure from Bassdash's BC1005 line, weighing 0.34 ounces and rigged with a treble hook. Built for surface strikes where fish hit visible, splashing action rather than a sinking presentation.
Topwater lures depend on surface commotion to draw strikes, and at 0.34 ounces this one sits in a light casting weight suited to spinning gear rather than heavy baitcasting setups. The single treble hook configuration is standard for smaller topwater baits, favoring a single well placed hookset point over multiple trebles.
- 0.34 ounce weight
- Treble hook rigging
- Topwater lure category
- One size, BGSP color
Who it's for
Anglers targeting bass or other surface-feeding species who want a lightweight topwater option castable on spinning tackle. Not the pick for anglers who prefer diving or bottom presentations, or who want a heavier lure for long casts in wind.
Pros and cons
- Light 0.34 ounce weight suits spinning tackle
- Treble hook aids hookset on surface strikes
- Built specifically for topwater presentation
- Light weight may limit casting distance in wind
- No review data available to confirm action or durability
Performance notes
At this light weight, the lure is designed to sit on or near the surface and create splash or walking action when worked, which is what triggers strikes from fish keyed in on topwater activity. The single treble hook is positioned to catch fish that strike from below as the lure moves across the surface.
