Overview
CVLIFE's EagleTalon is a 1-6x24 low power variable optic with a 30mm cantilever mount, an illuminated BDC reticle calibrated for .223/5.56 and .308/7.62, and exposed locking turrets for fast, tactile adjustments.
It's built around 5.56/.223 and 7.62/.308 BDC holdovers rather than a general-purpose duplex reticle, so it suits centerfire rifle use more than rimfire or long-range precision work.
- 1-6x24 magnification with 30mm cantilever mount
- Illuminated BDC reticle for .223/5.56 and .308/7.62
- Exposed, locking windage and elevation turrets
- Nitrogen-purged, IPX7 water resistant tube
Who it's for
Suits a rifle owner mounting a budget LPVO on an AR platform or a .308 pattern rifle who wants a scope that holds zero across a few hundred rounds. Less suited to shooters who need reticle illumination bright enough to compete with full sunlight, since at least one reviewer found it too dim outdoors.
Pros and cons
- Glass clarity competitive with pricier LPVOs
- Held zero after 150 plus rounds for one owner
- Tactile, audible turret clicks for fast adjustments
- Illumination too dim in full sunlight for at least one buyer
- Zoom ring feels tight until it breaks in
- Runs a bit heavy
Performance notes
Exposed, tactile turrets let you dial windage and elevation by feel with audible clicks, and the BDC reticle is calibrated for .223/5.56 and .308/7.62 holdovers out to 600 yards at 6x magnification. Nitrogen purging and O-ring seals handle fogging and provide IPX7-rated water resistance, and CVLIFE rates the scope to hold zero through 1500 rounds of 5.56/.223 fire.
