Overview
A single layer of high-density foam and a pillow top make up this full-size mattress, finished with tufting and a corded fabric cover. It is listed for adults and compatible with a futon frame.
A thick mattress that swaps into an existing frame is what this offers, and the shredded foam filling makes the pillow top feel plush. The limits are that the frame is separate and the cover does not look removable from the listing.
Who it's for
Owners of an existing futon frame and guest-room hosts will find a straightforward swap. People wanting a complete bed, a firm orthopedic surface or machine-washable covers should shop elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Thick single-layer foam construction
- Tufted pillow top
- Made for futon frames
- Spot clean and wipe care listed
- Frame not included
- Cover removal not stated
- Heavy and awkward to move
- Single layer limits depth of comfort
Performance notes
A single high-density foam layer with shredded foam in the top gives a softer surface over a supportive base. Tufting stitches hold the filling in place so it does not migrate. On a futon frame the mattress has to fold, so its thickness and the frame style decide how well it bends.
