Overview
This is a 30 inch wide by 64 inch tall cordless roman shade from Chicology in a Belgian Flax fabric, built for light filtering and daytime privacy rather than blackout. It ships true to the ordered size with no cutting needed and can go up as an inside, outside or ceiling mount.
Chicology is direct about what this shade does not do: it filters and softens light rather than blocking it, and the listing warns that silhouettes can show through at night when interior lights are on. Because the fit is true-to-size rather than trimmed down like some roman shades, an inside mount can leave a small quarter to half inch gap on each side, which the listing calls typical for this style.
- 30 inch W x 64 inch H, Belgian Flax
- Cordless, child-safe lift
- Inside, outside or ceiling mount hardware included
- One-person install in about 15 to 30 minutes
Who it's for
Buyers who want daytime privacy and softened light in a fabric that looks like natural linen are the target, not anyone who needs full nighttime privacy or a dark room. It also suits people comfortable steaming out shipping creases and spot cleaning rather than machine washing.
Pros and cons
- True-to-size fit needs no cutting or trimming
- Works as inside, outside or ceiling mount
- Belgian Flax fabric gives a natural linen look
- Not blackout, silhouettes can show at night with lights on
- Inside mount can leave a small side gap
- Spot clean only, not machine washable
Performance notes
Because the shade ships true to the ordered width with no deduction, inside mount installs can show a small side gap of about a quarter to half an inch per side, which an outside mount avoids. Installation is a one-person job that typically runs 15 to 30 minutes, and the listing recommends steaming out shipping creases rather than trying to iron or wash the fabric, since care is spot-clean only.
