Overview
The RS1.2 is a 2.5-15x44mm first focal plane hunting rifle scope from Maven, offered with a choice of MOA or MIL illuminated reticles. It's positioned as the successor to Maven's RS.1 scope, with side parallax adjustment and a dial-to-shoot elevation turret.
This scope is built around ED glass, the low-dispersion glass used to cut chromatic aberration in higher-end optics, paired with precision-milled adjustments and a mechanical zero stop. Maven backs it with a lifetime warranty, coverage that typically follows the original owner.
- 2.5-15x44mm first focal plane scope
- MOA or MIL illuminated reticle options
- Side parallax adjustment and mechanical zero stop
- ED glass, backed by lifetime warranty
Who it's for
Fits big game hunters who want a mid-range zoom scope with precise, repeatable elevation adjustment for shots across varying distances. Not aimed at extreme long-range target shooters who need magnification well above 15x.
Pros and cons
- Choice of illuminated MOA or MIL reticle
- ED glass for clarity across the zoom range
- Mechanical zero stop for repeatable elevation dialing
- Lifetime warranty from Maven
- 15x top magnification is modest for extreme long-range shooting
- No rating or review data listed for this scope
Performance notes
The dial-to-shoot elevation turret and mechanical zero stop work together so you can dial for distance in the field and reliably return to your original zero afterward. Side parallax adjustment lets you correct for parallax error independently of magnification, which matters most at the top of the zoom range.
