Overview
A lightweight 4-16x44 second focal plane hunting scope with Maven's CSHR-W MOA reticle and a 44mm objective lens. Built for mid range to long range shots and backed by Maven's unconditional lifetime warranty.
As an SFP scope, the CSHR-W reticle holds a fixed size through the zoom range, so its MOA subtensions read true at one magnification setting rather than at every zoom level, which suits hunters who prefer a fixed holdover reference. A reviewer who weighed the scope at 16.6 oz called it a rare find in the lightweight premium category, though another buyer thought it merely average for the price.
- 4-16x zoom with a 44mm objective lens
- CSHR-W MOA reticle for holdover aiming
- Second focal plane keeps reticle size fixed
- Unconditional lifetime warranty
Who it's for
Fits hunters who want a low weight scope for carrying long distances and prefer a fixed reticle scale over one that recalculates with zoom. Less suited to shooters who want reticle subtensions to stay accurate at every magnification.
Pros and cons
- Weighs around 16.6 oz on a reviewer's scale
- Clear glass with an easy to read reticle
- Unconditional lifetime warranty from Maven
- One buyer felt it was not worth full price
- SFP reticle only reads accurately at max zoom
Performance notes
The 4-16x zoom range covers mid to long range shooting, and the 44mm objective is sized to pull in usable light in dim conditions. Because the reticle is second focal plane, its MOA markings only measure accurately at the scope's maximum magnification, not throughout the zoom range.
