Overview
A mechanical outdoor timer outlet with two grounded outlets, a 24-hour pin dial offering 48 on/off settings in 30-minute steps, and a waterproof housing rated 15A/1/2HP, ETL listed. Built for automating string lights, yard lights and other outdoor plug-in devices.
This is a pin-and-dial mechanical timer, not a digital or app-controlled one: push a pin down for on time, pull it up for off time, and the schedule repeats daily with no batteries or programming involved. Weatherproofing depends on mounting it vertically at least 2 feet above the ground, per the listing.
- 48 on/off settings across 24 hours, 30-minute steps
- Two grounded outlets, 15A/1/2HP rated
- ETL listed
- Waterproof design for vertical outdoor mounting
Who it's for
Good for anyone who wants a fixed daily lighting schedule without learning an app or remote. Less suited to anyone who wants the schedule to shift with sunset times or vary by day.
Pros and cons
- No app or programming, just set the pins
- Two grounded outlets rated 15A/1/2HP
- Waterproof housing built for outdoor mounting
- Same schedule repeats every day with no variation
- 30-minute scheduling resolution, not exact-minute
- Needs vertical mounting above ground to stay weatherproof
Performance notes
The dial's 48 slots cover 24 hours at 30-minute resolution, so timing is exact to the half hour but the same on/off pattern repeats every day until the pins are moved. It runs on clock time rather than a light sensor, so it will not adjust automatically as sunset shifts through the seasons.
