Overview
A CoreXY motion system and an actively heated, insulated chamber let the QIDI Plus print engineering materials that crack in open printers. An all metal hotend reaches high temperatures for PPS-CF, PA and PC.
High temperature materials without warping are the reason to buy, thanks to the heated chamber and hot nozzle. Its size and weight need a sturdy bench, and the multicolor box was a future add on.
Who it's for
Small shops and advanced hobbyists making functional, heat resistant parts will use the chamber. PLA only users will be paying for features they will not use.
Pros and cons
- Actively heated chamber
- Very high nozzle temperature
- Large build size
- Camera and app monitoring
- Large and heavy
- Multicolor box sold separately
- Speed not in bullets
Performance notes
Engineering filaments shrink as they cool, so the heated, insulated chamber holds layers warm and bonded to cut warping and cracking. The high temperature hotend melts abrasive and high melt materials. Dual Z motors and thick shafts hold the bed level.
