Overview
UGREEN NAS owners get a matched battery backup that powers the storage box and links to it over a USB cable. The flat compact case rests beside the NAS on a shelf or desk.
Matching the backup to the NAS is its strength, with a compatibility list of specific UGREEN models and a USB link between the two. Routers, modems and other NAS brands have no listed support, and the listing does not publish runtime.
Who it's for
Suited to a home or small office running one of the listed UGREEN NAS models on a shelf with limited space. Owners of other NAS brands, or anyone who needs AC outlets for more gear, should look at a conventional UPS.
Pros and cons
- Matched to specific UGREEN NAS models
- Compact, flat case
- USB link to the NAS
- Two year warranty
- Runtime not listed
- Only UGREEN NAS models on the compatibility list
- Compatibility lists differ between spec fields
Performance notes
Runtime depends on the NAS power draw against a fixed battery capacity, so a fuller drive bay and heavy activity shorten it. Because the listing pairs the unit with named UGREEN models over a USB cable, behavior on any other device is unknown.
