Overview
RaceBox makes the Micro as a compact performance tracker that pairs with a smartphone over Bluetooth and sends vehicle data to the RaceBox mobile app. A built-in battery and a plastic enclosure make up the unit.
Logging through the RaceBox app on a phone is the reason to consider it, with an accelerometer built in and a battery inside the unit. The listing says very little else, with no battery life, accuracy figures or mounting details, so research those before a track day.
Who it's for
Suited to enthusiasts who already carry a smartphone in the car and want performance tracking through an app. Buyers who need documented specs on paper should wait for fuller details.
Pros and cons
- Bluetooth pairing with a smartphone
- Dedicated RaceBox mobile app
- Battery included in the unit
- One year warranty
- Battery life not listed
- Thin spec sheet for a measuring tool
- Needs a smartphone to view data
Performance notes
Results depend on how firmly the unit is mounted and how steadily the phone holds its Bluetooth link, since loose placement adds noise to accelerometer readings. Data review happens in the RaceBox app, so phone battery and app support shape the experience.
