Overview
Gosky's 20-60x85HD is a variable-zoom spotting scope built around an 85mm objective lens, giving it a 101-foot field of view at the wide end of its zoom range for glassing distant targets. Manual focus keeps the design straightforward for range work, birding, or long-distance target identification.
The 85mm objective is the largest lens Gosky offers in this scope line, meant to pull in more light at long range than smaller 60-65mm alternatives. At 6.2 lb it is not a scope most people will hand-hold for long; a tripod is the practical way to use it. Manual focus, not motorized, is standard for scopes at this price point.
- 85mm objective lens
- 20-60x variable zoom
- 101-foot field of view
- Manual focus system
Who it's for
Hunters, target shooters, and birders who need to resolve detail well past rifle-scope range and are willing to mount the scope on a tripod. Not aimed at anyone wanting a compact, pocketable optic.
Pros and cons
- Large 85mm objective for long-range detail
- Wide 20-60x zoom range
- 101-foot field of view at low power
- 6.2 lb weight requires a tripod
- Manual focus only, no motor assist
Performance notes
The 20-60x zoom range lets the user pull back for a wide 101-foot field of view or push in tight on a distant subject, with image quality typically softening at the top end of any zoom scope's range. Manual focus means adjustment happens by hand rather than a motor, which most users at this level expect.
