Overview

Vector Optics built the Continental x6 5-30x56 VCT-34 FFP (model SCFF-30) as a first focal plane riflescope on a 34mm monotube, aimed at hunters and competition shooters who want a wide zoom range in one scope.

The first focal plane design means the VCT-34FFP reticle subtends the same value at any magnification, which matters for shooters who dial or hold over at varying power. Vector Optics pairs that with a 7075 T6 turret system rated to handle the recoil of a .338 Lapua Magnum, plus a zero stop and turret lock so settings hold under heavy recoil. It sits at the more affordable end of FFP scopes rather than a boutique price point.

The scope uses German Schott HD glass with VePRO fully multi-coated lenses rated above 90 percent light transmission, aimed at low distortion and low dispersion in dawn, dusk and low-light shooting. Turrets move in 1/10 MIL clicks across a 26 MIL elevation range, with a zero stop and turret lock to return to a known setting and prevent unintended turns. Side focus parallax adjustment runs from 10 yards to infinity, and the illuminated VCT-34FFP reticle offers 6 red illumination levels for low-light aiming.
