Overview
An interior cat door built into a wood frame, sized for cats up to about 20 lbs (9.07 kg). It is made with an ABS panel, comes in blue, and is designed to fit either solid or hollow core interior doors with a locking function.
Unlike flap-style doors, this is a framed insert meant to be installed into an existing interior door rather than a wall or exterior door. The weight rating puts it toward larger cats, so it is worth checking your cat's size against the 20 lb limit before buying.
- ABS panel, wood frame
- Fits cats up to 20 lbs
- Solid or hollow core doors
- Tight lock closure
Who it's for
Households with an interior door that separates a litter box room or a multi-cat space will find this useful, especially where a full cat is expected to pass through rather than a kitten. It is not built for exterior use or for dogs.
Pros and cons
- Fits both solid and hollow core doors
- Rated for cats up to 20 lbs
- Includes a lockable closure
- Interior use only, not weatherproofed
- Requires cutting into an existing door
Performance notes
Installed into a cut-out in a solid or hollow core door, the wood frame holds the ABS panel in place and the lock lets an owner close off access when needed. Fit depends on correctly matching the cut-out to the door thickness during install.
