Overview
Hempz Pet Shampoo is a 17 oz gel wash for dogs and cats built around hemp seed oil and shea butter, with a tropical pineapple coconut scent aimed at deodorizing rather than just cleaning. It's paraben-free and formulated to hydrate skin and coat while washing out odor.
The formula leans on Hempz's usual oil blend, here repositioned for pets rather than skincare, pairing hemp seed oil and shea butter with a stated hydrating benefit. Because it's marketed on scent and deodorizing rather than a medicated claim, it fits routine washing for a smelly coat rather than a skin condition.
- 17 fl oz gel shampoo
- Tropical pineapple coconut scent
- Hemp seed oil and shea butter
- Paraben-free, for dogs and cats
Who it's for
Owners of dogs or cats with a persistent general pet odor who want a scented, hydrating wash rather than a medicated shampoo. Less relevant for pets needing treatment for skin conditions or parasites.
Pros and cons
- Hydrating hemp seed oil and shea butter formula
- Works for dogs and cats
- Scented, not fragrance-free
- No medicated or skin-condition claims
Performance notes
The gel formula combines hemp seed oil and shea butter with a stated hydrating benefit, and the tropical pineapple coconut scent is meant to mask odor through washing rather than eliminate it at the source with active deodorizing ingredients. At 17 oz, it's paraben-free and formulated for both dogs and cats.
