Overview
Switching between close targets and longer shots is what the Monstrum Beast ED handles, with a true single power view at the low end and a first focal plane reticle that scales with zoom. ED glass sharpens the image and cuts color fringing.
Ranging marks that stay accurate at every magnification make it useful for quick holdovers without doing math. The listing never states the warranty or an eye relief figure, and that matters for a rifle optic.
Who it's for
AR owners and practical shooters who move between close and middle distances will use the full zoom range. Benchrest and long range hunters need more magnification.
Pros and cons
- First focal plane holdovers at any zoom
- ED glass reduces color fringing
- Bright illumination for daylight
- Locking uncapped turrets
- Warranty not listed
- Mount inclusion unclear
- Eye relief number not given
- FFP reticle is small at low power
Performance notes
Holdover accuracy comes from the first focal plane reticle, whose marks grow and shrink with magnification so each hashmark holds its value. ED glass limits chromatic aberration, so edges stay crisp in bright light. At the low end the thin reticle leans on the illumination to stand out.
