Overview
A streaming desk or home office gets an ultra HD camera that attaches to the monitor with its included mount and connects to a laptop or computer over a detachable USB-C cable. A large sensor and fast prime lens form the image, with focus set automatically or by hand.
Smooth motion at full ultra HD resolution, paired with manual focus and HDR, makes the Facecam a camera for people who care how they look on stream. Audio is not covered by the listing, and the prime lens means framing is set by where the camera is placed.
Who it's for
Streamers, creators and people on frequent video calls get the most out of the larger sensor and manual control. Shoppers who want one device to handle both picture and sound should look at a webcam that lists a microphone.
Pros and cons
- 4K video at 60 FPS
- Large 1/1.8-inch sensor
- Manual and automatic focus
- HDR support listed
- Microphone not listed
- Prime lens ties framing to placement
- Compatibility listed for laptops and PCs only
Performance notes
A large CMOS sensor behind a fast aperture prime lens gathers more light per frame, which governs noise in a dimly lit room. Smooth motion at the top frame rate depends on the USB connection and on the computer handling the full data stream. Focus can run automatically or be set by hand so it does not hunt when you lean in.
