Overview
Axe built the Strato as a one piece alloy USSSA bat with a CNC precision barrel and its patented Axe Handle. The balanced swing weight and Hyperwhip endcap aim for fast bat speed through the zone.
Swing speed is the focus, with a balanced load and a one piece frame that sends a stiff, direct feel to the hands. The listing shows two lengths in different fields, so the exact size needs checking.
Who it's for
Young players in travel and rec leagues that use USSSA bats get a quick, balanced swing. Leagues with a different certification will not allow it.
Pros and cons
- Balanced swing weight for bat speed
- Axe Handle for a different grip angle
- Tacky grip tape
- One piece alloy build
- Length listed two ways
- Drop weight not in the specs
- One piece alloy can sting on mishits
Performance notes
Bat speed is governed by the balanced swing weight, which puts less mass at the end of the barrel. A one piece alloy frame transfers energy directly but passes more vibration to the hands than a two piece build. The Axe Handle changes the wrist angle at the knob.
