Overview
Wondercide Rescue is an 8.5 oz hypochlorous acid spray for dogs and cats aimed at allergy-related rashes, redness and itching, applied directly to affected skin without rinsing.
Hypochlorous acid is a gentle antimicrobial commonly used on irritated skin because it does not sting broken or inflamed areas the way alcohol-based sprays can, which is likely why the directions say it is safe near the mouth, nose, ears, eyes and paws. It is a spot-treatment spray rather than a full-body wash.
- 8.5 oz hypochlorous acid spray
- Rinse-free, air-dry application
- Safe for use near face and paws
- Reapply twice daily as needed
Who it's for
Owners managing a dog or cat with visible allergy irritation, hot spots or itchy patches who want a rinse-free spray for twice-daily use. Not a substitute for a veterinary diagnosis if the condition does not improve.
Pros and cons
- Labeled safe near mouth, nose, ears, eyes and paws
- Works on both dogs and cats
- 30 day manufacturer guarantee
- Requires twice-daily reapplication until symptoms improve
- Not a substitute for veterinary diagnosis of ongoing skin issues
Performance notes
The directions call for 3 to 6 sprays on the affected area, air-dried with no rinsing, reapplied twice daily until symptoms subside, then continued as maintenance. The label sets an 18 month use window once opened and backs the purchase with a 30 day guarantee from the manufacturer.
