Overview
ARRIS sells this WPL crawler styled after the third generation Hilux pickup, with a metal chassis, four wheel drive and suspension at every corner. Proportional controls let you creep over rocks, and the bed lifts off for cleaning.
Realistic looks with true proportional control suit adults who like slow scale crawling. Short run time means a spare battery helps for longer sessions.
Who it's for
Adults and teens fifteen and up who enjoy scale detail and slow terrain will like it. Kids wanting speed should look at buggies or monster trucks.
Pros and cons
- Proportional throttle and steering
- Four wheel drive and suspension
- Detachable truck bed
- Ready to run
- Short run time
- Long charge for the run
- Small scale for tall grass
Performance notes
Climbing comes from four wheel drive and a high torque motor geared for slow speed, which holds tires in contact on steep rock. Proportional control matters because crawling relies on gentle throttle more than speed.
