Overview
Dovesun's weighted swimbait hooks pair a 3/0 hook with a 1/8 oz weight molded onto the shank, sold in a 12 count pack aimed at saltwater soft plastic presentations.
The weight is built into the hook itself rather than sold as a separate slip sinker, so rigging a swimbait takes one step instead of two. Listed for saltwater use, though the metal finish and corrosion resistance are not detailed by the seller.
- 3/0 hook size
- 1/8 oz molded weight
- 12 count pack
- Marketed for saltwater soft plastic swimbaits
Who it's for
Anglers who fish soft plastic swimbaits and want a single weighted hook instead of threading a jig head or add-on weight separately. Less useful if you need a range of weights or hook sizes, since this listing covers one combination.
Pros and cons
- Weight is molded onto the hook, no separate rigging step
- 3/0 size suits mid-size soft plastic swimbaits
- Sold in a 12 pack for multiple rigs
- Only one hook size and weight combination per listing
- Seller does not specify the hook finish or corrosion coating
Performance notes
The 1/8 oz weight sits molded onto the hook shank, adding enough mass to cast the bait and hold it near the intended depth without a separate egg sinker or jig head. Because the weight and hook size are fixed, results depend on matching this combination to your bait size and target depth.
