Overview
Adult hitters who want a maple wood bat for batting practice or live at bats get a balanced swing weight and a cupped end. Louisville Slugger offers the Genuine line in several adult lengths, and this listing is the pink and metallic blue finish.
A balanced maple bat for practice and wood bat leagues is the case here, with a cupped end that trims weight from the barrel. Certification is missing from the listing, and the description mentions a mint finish while the bullets say pink, so confirm what you are buying.
Who it's for
Players moving to wood for practice, or adults in wood bat leagues, are the audience. Youth players and anyone whose league requires a certification stamp should look for a bat that states one.
Pros and cons
- Maple wood construction
- Balanced swing weight
- Cupped end lightens the barrel
- Multiple adult lengths offered
- League certification and drop not listed
- Description and bullets disagree on color
Performance notes
A cupped end removes wood from the tip, which moves the balance point toward the hands and makes the bat feel lighter through the swing. Maple is a dense wood, so contact feel depends on the grain and on squaring the ball on the barrel.
