Overview
The adidas Tiro is a machine-stitched training and recreational soccer ball (model VB565) built with a textured casing for grip. It carries adidas's Tiro graphics and comes in official youth and adult sizing.
Adidas positions the Tiro line as a training and club-level ball rather than a match-day pro model, and the machine-stitched panels back that up: consistent, repeatable seams meant to hold up to daily kicking rather than delicate hand-stitched leather. The textured casing is aimed at touch and control during dribbling and passing drills more than raw power.
- Machine-stitched construction, model VB565
- Textured casing for grip and control
- Official youth and adult sizing
Who it's for
Good for parents replacing a ball that got lost at practice, and for coaches who need a durable ball for daily training rather than a single match. Less of a fit for a player who specifically wants a hand-stitched, tournament-grade match ball.
Pros and cons
- Holds air well over weeks of use
- Durable enough for daily youth and adult training
- Textured casing aids grip and control
- Good feel reported by players particular about touch
Performance notes
One coach reports using it at both youth (around 10 psi) and adult (11+ psi) pressure levels without the ball going rock hard, which lines up with adidas's training-ball, rather than pro-match, positioning.
