Overview
Not a big-screen home theater set, the Roku Select is a compact Full HD smart TV for bedrooms, kitchens and dorms. It runs Roku OS with free live channels, a voice remote and AirPlay, and stands on its base or hangs on a small VESA mount.
Buy it for crisp Full HD on a small screen, which holds up even at close range, plus Roku's simple app grid. Picture extras such as HDR are not listed, and the built-in speakers are sized for small rooms.
Who it's for
Made for small spaces where a sharp picture matters at short viewing distances. Movie fans after HDR highlights or deep bass should step up to a larger, better-equipped set.
Pros and cons
- Sharp Full HD resolution
- Free live channels on the home screen
- AirPlay 2 and Miracast
- Bluetooth headphone mode
- No HDR format listed
- Glossy screen finish
- Small speakers for big rooms
Performance notes
Full HD packs enough pixels into a small screen that text and faces stay crisp up close. Smart Picture chooses the picture mode and cleans up incoming signals automatically. Auto speech clarity and night mode lift voices and tame loud effects late at night.
