Overview
A granite nonstick coating over an aluminum body forms this stock pot, with multi-layer construction meant to spread heat evenly. It comes with a lid and is sold for boiling, simmering and making stock on all stove types.
Easy cleanup is the reason to buy: the nonstick coating releases food and the pot is dishwasher safe. The listing gives no oven rating, lid material or warranty, so its limits beyond the stovetop are unknown.
Who it's for
Small households that boil pasta or simmer soup and want a light pot that cleans in the dishwasher get that here. Cooks who braise in the oven or brew stock for a crowd should look at larger or oven rated pots.
Pros and cons
- Nonstick granite coating releases food
- Works on all stove types
- Light aluminum body
- PFOA free coating
- Oven safety and lid material not listed
- Squat shape per listed height
- Single pot, no steamer insert
Performance notes
Heat moves through the aluminum body and multi-layer construction, which governs how evenly a simmer holds across the base. Release depends on the granite coating staying intact, so cleaning method and utensils decide how long food continues to slide off.
