Overview
Three-claw fish gripper made of ABS and metal with a squeeze-handle mechanism, built to hold fish by the jaw for hook removal, weighing, or photos without puncturing skin or scales.
- 3-claw non-puncturing grip
- ABS and metal, corrosion resistant construction
- One-handed press-to-open operation
- Compatible with bass, trout, catfish, and similar species
Who it's for
Suits families fishing with children or anyone who wants a low-risk way to hold a hooked fish steady for hook removal or a photo. Less useful for an angler who already handles fish confidently by hand, and one reviewer with limited hand strength found the squeeze action tough to manage.
Pros and cons
- Holds fish without puncturing skin or gills
- One-handed squeeze operation
- Compact enough for a pocket or tackle box
- Good for kids or first-time handlers
- Squeeze action can be hard for weaker hands
- Sized mainly for smaller fish, a few pounds
- Doesn't fit neatly in every tackle box

Is it easy to use one-handed?
Yes for most users, though one reviewer with arthritis found the squeeze mechanism required more hand strength than expected.
