Overview
Tailgates, boat days and campsites are where this soft cooler rides on top of or next to a Dometic hard cooler for overflow drinks. A zipper free lid opens with one hand from either side.
Pairing with a Recon hard cooler gives a two cooler system for long days, and the tall chamber fits wine bottles. Ice retention is not stated, so plan for a day out.
Who it's for
Boaters, tailgaters and campers who already use a Recon hard cooler suit this add-on. Buyers needing long ice retention on its own should get a hard sided cooler.
Pros and cons
- Fits wine bottles upright
- Opens with one hand
- Nests with Recon hard coolers
- Magnetic handle and padded strap
- Hard cooler sold separately
- Ice retention not listed
- Warranty only statutory
Performance notes
Insulation thickness slows heat gain, but real ice life depends on sun, pre chilling and opening frequency. Latches seal faster than a zipper. The tall shape fits upright bottles.
