More from this brandAll Leupold rifle scopesOverview
A 3-15x56mm hunting riflescope built around Leupold's Professional-Grade Optical System, with an illuminated FireDot Twilight Hunter reticle, a side focus CDS-SZL2 turret and a 30mm tube, made in the USA.
The 56mm objective is the largest in the VX-5HD Gen 2 line, which the listing positions specifically for low light hunting at first and last light rather than as a general purpose scope. Guard-Ion coating on the lens is meant to shed water, dirt and smudges so the image stays clear in the field.
- 3-15x56mm with a 30mm tube
- Illuminated FireDot Twilight Hunter reticle
- Side focus CDS-SZL2 parallax turret
- Guard-Ion coating sheds water and smudges
Who it's for
Suits hunters who need a scope that performs at dawn and dusk and want an illuminated reticle with a side focus turret. Less relevant for shooters who mostly hunt in full daylight and don't need the largest objective in the line.
Pros and cons
- 56mm objective, the largest in the VX-5HD Gen 2 line
- Illuminated reticle for low light hunting
- Backed by Leupold's lifetime guarantee
- Made in the USA
- Larger 56mm objective adds size and weight over smaller scopes
Performance notes
The 3-15x zoom range and 56mm objective are built to maximize light transmission as the sun goes down, and the illuminated FireDot Twilight Hunter reticle stays visible against dark backgrounds. A side focus CDS-SZL2 turret lets you adjust parallax without moving the scope off your eye line.
