Overview
Weighing a catch on the boat or the bank, an angler reads a high visibility digital display made for bright sun, low light and night fishing. The handheld scale runs on AAA batteries and offers unit conversion.
Buy it for the easy-read screen and the portable size, which fits a tackle bag. The limitation is the capacity, which stops at the stated figure, so bigger fish are out of range.
Who it's for
Anglers and tournament guides who log catch weights and want a compact scale with a readable screen. Those who handle larger fish should choose a higher capacity scale.
Pros and cons
- High visibility display
- Unit convert feature
- Compact handheld size
- Takes common AAA batteries
- Capacity limits large fish
- Battery life not given
- Color varies between yellow, orange and red
Performance notes
A digital readout gives a number to read at once, and the screen is built for glare, dim light and the dark. Accuracy is limited by the stated capacity, since loads above it are not supported. Unit convert switches the display between weight units.
