Overview
Not a gaming monitor, the Dell UltraSharp curved display is a wide productivity screen with an IPS Black panel, a USB-C hub and built-in Ethernet. One USB-C cable carries video, data and laptop charging, and an automatic KVM switches keyboard and mouse between two computers.
Hub features like the high-wattage USB-C port, Ethernet and KVM let one screen replace a dock and a switch box. The standard refresh rate and slower response time favor office and creative work over fast games.
Who it's for
Developers, analysts and photo editors juggling many windows or two computers get a wide canvas and a built-in dock. Fast-paced gamers should look at a high refresh monitor.
Pros and cons
- Deep blacks from IPS Black panel
- Wide color coverage
- One-cable laptop charging and video
- Built-in Ethernet and KVM
- Standard 60 Hz refresh rate
- Heavy at 29.3 pounds
- Slower 8 ms response time
Performance notes
IPS Black technology raises contrast for deeper blacks while holding the wide viewing angles of IPS. The gentle curve brings the edges of the wide panel closer to your eye line, reducing glare and head turning. USB-C power delivery charges a connected laptop while carrying video and data on the same cable.
