Overview
Playing competitive shooters, console games or HDR films, this LG UltraGear OLED delivers very fast refresh and extremely quick pixel response at QHD. Self-lit pixels give deep blacks next to bright highlights.
OLED speed and contrast at a fast refresh rate cover both competitive and cinematic gaming on one screen. The glossy coating shows reflections in bright rooms, and OLED panels need their care cycles.
Who it's for
Gamers playing fast titles and HDR content will see the speed and contrast every session. People running static spreadsheets for hours may prefer an LCD that avoids image retention concerns.
Pros and cons
- Very fast refresh and response
- OLED contrast and HDR
- Wide color gamut
- HDMI 2.1 for consoles
- Glossy screen reflects light
- OLED care cycles needed
- Modest typical brightness
- No built-in speakers listed
Performance notes
Motion clarity comes from OLED pixels that switch in a tiny fraction of a frame, paired with a fast refresh rate, so fast movement shows little blur. HDR highlights reach high peaks in small areas while typical full-screen brightness stays moderate. Pixel care cycles run in standby to reduce image retention.
