Overview
This 10 pack of stainless steel fishing speed clips is rated to 70 pounds at a medium size, built for quickly snapping a leader or lure on and off rather than for stopping line twist like a swivel.
A speed clip lets an angler snap a leader or lure on and off without retying, useful when switching baits often through a day on the water. The medium size and 70 pound rating fit mid-size freshwater or light saltwater use rather than heavy offshore tackle. The listing files these under Swivels, but the product's own name and attributes describe a snap clip.
- 10 pack
- Stainless steel
- 70 lb medium rating
- Quick-connect clip design
Who it's for
Anglers who change lures frequently and want a quick-connect clip rated for mid-size fish. Not the right part for anglers who specifically need a swivel to stop line twist.
Pros and cons
- Stainless steel resists corrosion
- Quick lure changes without retying line
- 10 clips in one pack
- 70 lb rating limits heavy offshore use
- Does not stop line twist like a swivel
Performance notes
Stainless steel resists corrosion from repeated saltwater exposure, and the clip mechanism lets a leader or lure snap on and off without cutting or retying the line. The medium size and 70 pound rating suit mid-weight lines rather than heavy offshore trolling gear, and unlike a swivel it does not rotate to release line twist.
