Overview
Not a thin ultrabook, the Acer Nitro V is a full gaming laptop with an NVIDIA RTX card, a ten-core Intel processor and a fast full HD display. AI noise reduction cleans up voice chat during games.
A modern RTX card paired with a ten-core processor gives good frame rates at full HD. The listing conflicts on storage capacity, and the memory is an older generation.
Who it's for
Students and gamers who want a capable RTX machine for full HD play get a fast screen and upgradeable memory. Travelers who want light and thin should choose an ultrabook.
Pros and cons
- RTX graphics with ray tracing
- Ten-core i7 processor
- Fast-refresh IPS display
- AI noise reduction for voice
- SSD size conflicts in listing
- Older DDR4 memory
- Charger not listed in box
Performance notes
Game performance comes mainly from the RTX card, with the processor feeding it frames in CPU-heavy titles. Fast refresh matters only when frame rates climb high, which full HD makes easier for this class of GPU.
