Overview
A 3-ft wide, 36-inch tall welded aluminum deck gate finished with an AAMA 2604 weather-resistant coating, built with self-closing hinges and a gravity latch for use on decks, porches and patios.
Aluminum here is the point of difference from steel or iron gate kits: it is lighter, will not develop red rust, and the frame can be trimmed with a standard saw for a closer fit to a given opening.
- 3 ft wide by 36 in tall aluminum gate
- Welded anti-sag frame
- Self-closing hinges with gravity latch
- AAMA 2604 weather-resistant finish
Who it's for
Suits homeowners closing off deck stairs or a porch opening around kids, pets or a pool, who want a welded rather than bolted frame. Less suited to anyone who wants to skip a saw entirely, since a close fit still depends on trimming the frame.
Pros and cons
- Included screws are too short for mounting into wood posts
- Latch assembly instructions did not match the parts for one reviewer
- One reviewer found it sturdy but noticeably light in feel

Frequently asked questions
Is the gate width adjustable?
The aluminum frame can be trimmed with a standard saw to fit smaller openings, and Guwezoy support helped one reviewer size a smaller-than-36-inch opening.
