A listing appears only when it has a recorded price, a minimum customer rating, and enough ratings or monthly sales. The ones that pass are ordered by the ProductDome score, which weighs owner satisfaction, rating volume, demand and data quality.
Fence gates on this page include ready made garden and yard gates, adjustable gate frame kits that turn your own boards into a gate, and gate hardware sets with hinges and latches. The first decision is whether you need a complete gate or a way to build one that matches an existing fence, because a frame kit is often the simplest route to a gate that does not sag and looks like the rest of the fence.
Measure the opening carefully between the posts at the top and bottom, since posts are rarely perfectly parallel. Ready made gates list a size range, and adjustable kits list the widths they can span. Wide openings may need two gates or a sturdier frame, and gates on sloping ground need a hinge design that lets them swing clear of the ground.
Sag and security are the next questions. Diagonal bracing, anti sag kits and strong hinges keep a gate square over time. Self closing hinges and a gravity latch are useful where pets or children must stay inside, and some latches accept a padlock.
Before buying, check the opening width the gate or kit fits, what materials and fasteners are included, whether boards are supplied for a frame kit, and the latch and hinge type. Set the posts firmly in the ground before hanging a gate, and check local rules for pool gates, which often require a specific latch height and self closing hardware.
