Overview
A combination tool pairing a fish scale with a lip gripper in one black unit, sold as a single piece. The listing does not state a weight capacity or reading units for the scale portion.
Combining a gripper and scale into one tool cuts down on what an angler needs to carry to control and weigh a catch, which matters most on catch-and-release trips where handling time affects fish survival. The available data does not list a maximum weight capacity or whether the scale reads in pounds, kilograms or both, so buyers who need a precise weigh-in should confirm capacity separately before purchase.
- Fish scale and lip gripper combined
- Black finish
- Ships as a single unit
- Suited to catch and release handling
Who it's for
Anglers who want one tool that both secures a fish by the lip and returns a weight reading, particularly for catch-and-release trips where minimizing handling matters.
Pros and cons
- Combines gripping and weighing in one tool
- Reduces handling time during catch and release
- Compact, single-unit design
- No stated weight capacity
- No display or reading unit listed
Performance notes
The lip gripper portion holds the fish's jaw to control it without touching gills or scales, which lowers handling stress during release. Built into the same black unit as the scale, the tool likely reads weight as soon as the gripper takes the fish's weight, though exact display type and capacity are not specified in the data provided.
