A sensibly specced entry gaming laptop, worth it for mainstream 1080p gaming at 144Hz rather than as a high-end machine.

Overview
A 15.6 inch gaming laptop pairing an Intel Core i7-13650HX with a GeForce RTX 5050, 16GB of memory and 1TB of storage, built around a 144Hz FHD IPS display with G-Sync.
Lenovo positions the LOQ line as an entry point into dedicated gaming rather than a flagship, and the spec sheet backs that positioning up: a mid-tier RTX 5050 GPU, 16GB memory, and a 144Hz panel cover mainstream titles well without reaching for the highest-end silicon. Hyperchamber cooling with copper heat pipes and an AI-tuning engine are the mechanisms behind keeping that hardware from throttling under sustained load.
- Intel Core i7-13650HX processor
- GeForce RTX 5050 with G-Sync
- 15.6" FHD IPS 144Hz display
- 16GB memory, 1TB storage
Who it's for
Good for someone buying their first real gaming laptop who wants solid 1080p performance and a fast panel without paying flagship prices. Less suited to buyers chasing the highest possible frame rates at 1440p or above.
Pros and cons
- 144Hz FHD IPS display with G-Sync
- 16GB memory and 1TB storage included
- Hyperchamber cooling for sustained performance
- Rapid Charge Pro reaches 70% battery in under 30 minutes
- RTX 5050 is a mid-tier GPU, not built for the highest settings
- 15.6 inch FHD panel, not a higher-resolution screen
Performance notes
The Hyperchamber cooling design with turbo fans and copper heat pipes is what lets the i7-13650HX and RTX 5050 sustain performance rather than throttle during longer sessions, with the AI Engine+ software tuning CPU, GPU and system settings automatically. G-Sync on the 144Hz IPS panel is meant to eliminate screen tearing and stutter, which matters more for fast-paced games than for slower single-player titles.
