Overview
This Body-Solid vertical climber (model BFMC10) combines a stepping and climbing motion in one alloy steel frame, aimed at a full body cardio workout that engages arms, legs, back and core together. It's also sold under the Best Fitness BFMC10 name per the manufacturer's own copy.
The moving parts are two independent foot pedals and hand grips linked through pulleys and rollers, and reviewer experiences vary a lot with how well those rollers hold up under repeated use. Several owners who tried competing budget vertical climbers first, including the Maxi Climber, singled this one out for a sturdier feel and a higher weight rating, though more than one reviewer flagged roller wear or loose bolts appearing within the first few weeks.
- Combines stepping and climbing motion in one machine
- Alloy steel frame, compact footprint
- Adjustable intensity settings
- Multi function display tracks time, distance, and calories
Who it's for
Fits people wanting a compact, floor space efficient cardio machine that works the whole body rather than legs alone, particularly buyers who've been frustrated by flimsier vertical climbers.
Pros and cons
- Full body motion works arms, core and legs together rather than legs alone
- Higher weight rating than many competing lightweight vertical climbers
- Handlebars offer multiple grip heights
- Rollers and bolts reported to loosen or wear within weeks for some owners
- At least one unit arrived with a bent attachment point
- Shipping damage reported by more than one reviewer

Frequently asked questions
Is this the same as the Best Fitness BFMC10 Mountain Climber?
The manufacturer's own product copy refers to it as the Best Fitness BFMC10, and the model number BFMC10Bt matches, though it's listed here under the Body-Solid brand name.
Does the BFMC10 work the upper body or just the legs?
Both. It combines a lower body stepping motion with an upper body climbing motion using the handlebars.
