Overview
Monocrystalline silicon cells behind tempered glass on an aluminum frame form the Dark Energy Spectre, a folding solar panel that stands on its own kickstands. Power leaves through USB-C output for phones and other devices, and the chainable design lets more panels join the array.
Direct USB-C charging and a waterproof rated build make it a carry-anywhere charger for USB-C devices. Its wattage is modest, so filling a large power station would take a long time, and the listing does not name a power station connector.
Who it's for
Campsites, boats and backcountry trips with no outlet in reach suit a folding panel rated waterproof. Owners of big home backup batteries need far more wattage than this panel offers.
Pros and cons
- Direct USB-C output, no adapter needed
- Waterproof rating for wet trips
- Tempered glass over monocrystalline cells
- Kickstands included for angling
- Power station connector not listed
- Modest wattage for large batteries
- Listing also calls it flexible, unclear
- Output port count unclear in title
Performance notes
Output follows sunlight hitting the cells, so panel angle, cloud cover and shade decide how close it gets to its rated power. The kickstands let the panel tilt toward the sun instead of lying flat. Chaining panels adds capacity, while a phone on USB-C only draws what it needs.

Frequently asked questions
Can the Dark Energy Spectre charge a power station?
The title names USB-C output and a chainable design, but no power station connector or cable is listed. Only 3 kickstands are listed as included.
Is the Dark Energy Spectre a flexible solar panel?
The spec sheet tags it flexible, but it also lists tempered glass and an aluminum frame. Expect a folding panel, and do not bend it around curved surfaces unless Dark Energy confirms that use.
