Overview
Alen built this compact HEPA purifier around a laser particle sensor that changes fan speed on its own and lights color rings to show air quality. Air passes through the included HEPA filter, and the app shows live readings and history.
Automatic fan control plus a low noise profile tuned for sleep suit it to running through the night in a bedroom. The warranty depends on keeping a filter subscription or proof of filter purchases, which adds an ongoing commitment.
Who it's for
Bedrooms, living rooms and home offices with dust, dander or smoke odor are the target. Owners of large open plan spaces should size up, since the listed floor area is modest.
Pros and cons
- Sensor adjusts fan speed automatically
- Color rings show air quality at a glance
- App control with historical data
- Pink noise operation aimed at sleep
- Coverage figures conflict across the listing
- Warranty requires ongoing filter purchases
- Filter life up to a year of use
Performance notes
Cleaning speed in a room depends on how much air the fan moves through the HEPA media, and the sensor raises the fan when particles spike, then drops it as readings clear. Running it continuously with doors closed matters more than peak settings, since the rated floor area assumes a single room.
