Overview
Backyards, patios and campsites all suit the Snow Peak Takibi, a stainless steel fireplace that works as an open fire pit or a charcoal grill. A baseplate goes under the fire, and a bridge and grill net hold food above it.
Campers and patio cooks get one piece of gear for campfires and grilling, packed in its own case. It is heavy for a portable unit, so it suits car trips more than hikes.
Who it's for
Patio fires and car camping suit this set. Anyone wanting push-button gas cooking should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Fire pit and grill in one
- Durable stainless steel
- Folds into a carrying case
- Baseplate protects the ground
- Heavy for hiking
- Warranty term not stated
Performance notes
Heat depends on the charcoal or wood load and how high the grill net rests on the bridge. The stainless body resists heat warping, while the baseplate shields the ground from embers.
