Overview
Not a powered press, the Crunchinator is a hand cranked crusher where turning the handle drives a plate down onto the items in a contained chamber. A wrench and accessories come with the toy.
Swapping plates changes how each object breaks, which makes it a simple way to compare cause and effect. The limitation is the choice of items, because only crunchy, squishy or poppable things suit it, and the age range is firm.
Who it's for
Kids in the listed range who like destruction themed science and sharing videos. The set arrives with tools and accessories. Younger children and buyers wanting a battery powered effect should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Three interchangeable plates
- No batteries needed
- Phone holder for filming
- Contained chamber for mess
- Hand cranking takes effort
- Limited to soft items
- Older age range only
- Mixed plastic materials
Performance notes
The handle turns a mechanism that multiplies the player's force, and each plate shape crushes objects in a different pattern. The chamber contains pieces while the player watches slow squashing. The description claims anti-break design and easy cleaning.
